Hope you had a great Monday. Here is the remaining 8 outings for the 2011 CGA golf season. I have modified the schedule of formats a small bit from the original schedule.

Thursday September 1 Riverbend 5:00pm 3 options (Male/Female Scramble, 2 man scramble, individual play) I will not be at this outing. My daughter has her first volleyball match this evening. So someonelse will be in charge.

Thursday September 15 Riverbend 5:00pm This will be the first 9 of the CGA Handicap Stroke Play Tournament for all interested. This is an individual play event and to enter you must be a CGA member and rate yourself. Those who have been in the Match Play tourney will use their rating for this event. For those who do not want to enter the tournament there will be a scramble event option available this night. To be in tournament you must also be able to play on Monday September 19 at Buckhannon CC for the 2nd 9 holes. This is first night we will golf first and eat after golf.

Monday September 19 Buckhannon CC 5:00pm. This will be the 2nd 9 holes of the CGA Handicap Stroke Play Tournament for all interested. The first 9 holes played the previous Thursday at Riverbend. Anyone not wanting to play in tournament can play scramble format option this evening. There will be no dinner this evening. We want to be golfing by 5:30pm. The cost will be $15 for nonmembers of Buckhannon CC.

Sunday September 25 Stonewall Resort 1:45pm This is our last event of year at Stonewall. The deadline to enter is Monday September 19 at 9:00pm. This outing is a 4 person scramble format.

Thursday September 29 Riverbend 5:00pm Bingo, Bango, Bongo format. I am not going to explain this format online. I will explain it at future outings. We will golf first and eat after golf.

Thursday October 13 Riverbend 5:00pm 3 options (Male/Female Scramble, 2 man scramble, individual play) Golf first, eat after

Saturday October 15 Canaan Valley 10:00am 4 person scramble (Meet at 9:00am for devotions and to pay course) Please signup by Saturday October 8 at 9:00pm. Cost is around $40 per player. Jim and Hallie Hurst are in charge of this event. Thanks to both of them.

Thursday October 27 Riverbend Last event of the 2011 season. We will play Par 3 challenge. All 9 holes will be Par 3’s. We will give away a prize for closest to the pin on all 9 holes. We will play first eat after.

Please mark your calendars for Friday December 9 for our Christmas Dinner. Location yet to be determined. We will have dinner, a Christmas message, give out door prizes and give out awards and look back at 2011 season of CGA.

Lastly for today. The last 5 outings at Riverbend we will donate the proceeds to different causes in the communities in which our members live. The 9/1 outing will go to the Upshur County Parish House. For every 20 players we will donate around $100 to each cause. If you have a need in mind please let me know.
