God Bless and good evening everyone.

To update everyone on our preseason meeting today. We had 25 attendees with 11 of them being newcomers to the CGA. I currently have 49 on my email list of people from last year and this year. If you were not able to make the meeting today would you please send me a reply letting me know if you still plan to play this year or if you would rather me take you off of my email list.

The first months schedule is as follows:

March 31  Riverbend   5:00    Devotions 5:15    Golf  5:30     Dinner following golf

April   14  Riverbend    5:00    Devotions 5:15    Golf  5:30     Dinner following golf

April   28  Riverbend    5:00    Devotions 5:15    Eat   5:30    Golf  by 6:00  monthly meeting after golf

April   30  Stonewall     2:00   Devotions  2:05   Golf  2:30

Deadline to enter is Thursday the 28th  at 9:00pm    You can enter by emailing a list of names to cgaevents@cgawv.org or you can enter online at cgawv.org.

The two most pressing topics that must be done by April 1 are:

1. We are taking a golf trip to the Outer Banks November 9-13. Cost of trip is $331 which includes 4 nights lodging at Holiday Inn Express, 4 breakfasts at hotel, 4 rounds of golf with cart.  Other meals, help on gas ect. are in addition to the $331.  If you would like to be included in this trip a $50 deposit is needed to me by March 31.  The balance of $331 is due by September 1 and you can make payments toward that from now until then.  Make checks to the CGA and we will hold in our account.
2. We are also having a match play event this year beginning in April.  To enter you must be a member of the CGA.  You can renew from last year for $5 or a new member can join for $10 this year. We need to know who wants to enter by March 31 and you must pay your membership due by then.  Pairings will be announced by April 5. You can take care of both of these issues on March 31 at Riverbend or you need to get in touch with me.

I will also need to have you rate yourself for the match play event to seed players and set up handicaps for event.

Rating system is as follows: rate yourself on what you would normally score for 18 holes

A     85 and below

B     85-94

C     95-104

D     105+

If you plan to play on March 31 you can sign up for both of these then.  If not you need to contact me ASAP and send me you payment.

PS  Cost to play at Riverbend  is $20 which includes 9 holes of golf, cart, dinner and $5 to CGA. ($10 for members of Riverbend)

Cost to play at Buckhannon CC is $20 which includes 9 holes of golf, cart and dinner. ($10 for members of BCC)

Cost to play at Stonewall is $31.80 which includes 18 holes of golf with cart.
